I'm pleased with the final result of this lab. I increased the size of the US map to stretch it out and fill up more space and moved Alaska to the bottom of the map. I used the color brewer website to get my color scheme for the 5 classes. The colors I chose show 5 distinct classes. With the greyscale, I had a bit of trouble and two of the classes on paper looked very similiar. I'm happy with the printed version of the color map as well. For the background, I chose a color from the "Tiki" swatch library.

I really like this map. Each country's fill has been done in the paper currency of that nation.




I am interested in Africa so I found a (poorly done) African map showing GDP by nation. The map needs a title as well as some sort of indication of the GDP currency (dollars, pounds, euros, etc.) I also think they should have a class for "No Data" to explain Western Sahara instead of giving it the same grey color used to show the non-African nations.
